Lost and Found

Posted by leornie.ling . Filed under misc | No Comments

I hate to lost,

I love to find

And also to be found.

I lost a wooden comb and watch last week.

I found both today.

Simple things like this could lighten me.

Mommy Mummy MaMee

She is fair with solid black hair above her shoulder

She has the height of average asian women with typical pitchy voice

She sew from dawn to dusk with little soap opera to call it a day

She bake many different flavor cake and bread with positive compliment

Visible wrinkles and sunken cheekbone

Sign of aging is mingling around her then

I realize how much she sacrifice

No matter how much disagreement we had

She is the best mum and

I love her

Favourite radio host

Johnjay and Rich

I am obsessed with this radio channel lately. It’s like a cup of coffee in the morning to keep up a hectic day. They are just pure evil and funny person.

Besides learning adult terminology from Confession Wednesday, Second Date Update an War of the Roses. They have good jokes from the public too. Gossips from the radio is so light and easy. No one around me will be offended and wont blurt the wrong words. Carefree kepo(nosy) kopitiam(coffeeshop).

The great fall

Posted by leornie.ling . Filed under auPairInAmerica, places | 2 Comments

This is my second ski trip, Greer, Sunrise Resort.

Falling did not stop me from continuing.

Fear is my challenge at each mini slope.

Sticky snow is my favorite.

I have a urge to migrate to places where I can ski every winter.

I look stupid with the outfit. Who care’s!!!

The Twilight Saga

Posted by leornie.ling . Filed under auPairInAmerica, misc | No Comments

It’s been a while. I finaly picked up Twilight from library. It was hard cover, I decided not to bring with me to New York. That night, I got a paper bag copy as Christmas present!!! Yipppie *God listen to prayer*

The story is less suspend than I’d anticipated. Anyways, Stephenie claimed she is a long whining writer, I’ve got to stick with her pace. My addiction grew when Bella and Edward started dating. I am contented with the ending despite all the sad scene happened in between …… happily ever after is all that I need.

The chapter I love most is where Bella jump off the cliff. I read every word and I deeply feel her emotion.

Interview with the Vampire : The Vampire Chronicles, a movie and The Vampire, a novel had planted a seed of affection in me towards vampire romance, fantasy, immortal and beauty. I am going to read some of Anne Rice’s soon, I need a break.

The very first picture taken from my camera, a gift from hostmum and hostdad. The ice tea is one of my favourite thirst quencher, perfect after a day staying outdoor. The ice tea is mix of Lipton Tea, White Tea with Island Mango & Peach flavour(from Lipton) and Limeade.

I am experimenting with the camera settings and variables I can tune in. :( I am a gadget noob.

Hiking is one of the major outdoor activities. The weather is fine, slightly breeze and mild sun glare to balance the chill. We’re hiking Piestawa Peak. The weariness paid off with a dazzling city view.

Splendid Christmas

What more I could ask from Mr Claus?

Me and my host family went New York City to spent our Christmas. My eyes are always busy, so many things around, I got a glimpse of everywhere I walked pass.

I met Daniel and PingNee at Grand Central!!! What a coincident to meet someone I knew during the peak season.

We took Southwest Airline. The best thing about it is no cost if you cancel your flight. The road was cottoned by snow, innocently white and calm, but it’s just too cold for me.

A limo ride. It’s cool and fun but not so comfortable. I prefer land cruiser. The driver was so ridiculous, he ask for tips when the tips is already added to the check! One thing to watch out when spending in NYC, sometimes the tips is added to the check automatically, look carefully at the check.

Planet Hollywood. I like these old fashion cameras, they are so classy.

The squatters” Inspired by The Street Lawyer - John Grisham.

The Natural History Museum. Zagat is very resourceful for food hunters.

“Manhattan from distance”

Lego has his hand everything. The Empire State Building Obervation is a bloodsucker. The view is perplexed but they ought to have a heater.

NY top 10 must go??? Go back work on your farm lar ~ C’mon, the technology used was 10 years before, NY can do better than that.

I am too good for you” Christmas window display is one of the attraction of the season.

Fresh market at Chinatown.

“Don’t leave”

Radio City grand hall.

Stay

Coffee cup sleeve, cool little invention. I’d learn about the difference of latte and cappuccino. Latte, my hamster didn’t make it through new year.

911 happened here. It is so sad to look at it, thanks to the fog, its a very sorrow scene.

She is so much smaller than I thought. Its incredible to understand how she was build.

You must try the Charmin restroom. It’s so fancy. We were running out of time, we just get a quick peak of the inside.

Malaysian will say:”Its karaoke.”

American will say:”Its movie rental machine.”

Isn’t that cool? $1 for a DVD.
